Calm Before the Storm?

Hello All

I've been attracted to PSC for some time. I like the open source nature of the system and the fact that everything is in plain PHP - not Smarty! However, I've never quite committed to buying a copy because of concerns about the limited shipping options. Judging by some of the comments in the forum it seems this issue will finally be addressed in a future update.

Now my only concern is the lack of activity in the forum! Is it me or is this place quiet?

I hope this is just the calm before the storm...

Yes, we've been a bit quiet but are back at it in full force...

Today the software has these shipping options:

PHP Super Cart has several easy methods to charge shipping. From the admin control panel you can charge shipping based on the following options:

* Separate Shipping Per Item - Set the cost of shipping on a product-by-product basis. Additional quantities of the same can be set to ship at a lower rate than the first item added.
* Flat Fee Per Order - This is a simple fee added to every order.
* Shipping/Handling Per Item - If a shopper orders a quantity of 3 for one item and also a quantity of 1 for another item then they will be charged with 4 shipping items.
* Shipping/Handling By Percent Of Order - A percentage will be added to the total of the order (minus tax).
* Shipping By Weight - You can build a table that charges based on the total weight of all items.
* Minimum Shipping Charge - If the above charges do not reach the minimum, then this sets the shipping at the minimum
* Maximum Shipping Charge - If the above charges exceed the maximum then this sets the shipping maximum
* Set a "Free Shipping" Amount. Any order over this amount will not have a shipping fee.

Remember that all shipping fees are cumulative with the exception of the last three.

Also, the shipping module is not encrypted so you can modify it to meet your requirements.
