Overview

The phpCart Licenser Manager is a tool to help you manage all your phpCart licenses. Once you purchase phpCart, you will get a phpCart License to run a copy of phpCart on one domain for the life of that domain. The License File unlocks the phpCart software so that you can use it.

Your Licenses

Click the "Your Licenses" link in the left hand menu bar to manage your licenses. When you do, a new screen comes up looking something like:

The Domains Supported column will show you the quantity of domains that your license will support.

To purchase more domains, click the Upgrade Package button.

To create a license file to support your domain, click the link in the Domains Support column. When you do, a new screen comes up looking something like:

The Domains screen shows how many total comains that you are allowed and how many you have already created licenses for. Any licenses will be listed with their ID, Domain and Alt Domain names. You can also download the license file from here.

To create a new license, press the "Add a Domain" link. When you do, a new screen comes up looking something like:

The "Add a Domain" screen allows you to enter your Domain name and an Alt Domain name, if you're planning on using an SSL certificate your protect your shopping cart. Enter your domain names without the www. prefix and then press the Submit Button to create your license.

Installing Your License

Once you've created a License for your domain, you can download the License File and install it. The license file must remain named, license.php and should be installed into the same directory where the phpCart appication is installed. phpCart comes standard with a license.php file and your new license should replace it. Make sure to FTP it to the server for it to take effect.

Developer Program

Read our Developer Guidelines to see if you qualify for our Developer Program. If you believe that you meet the Qualificatons, please submit the Developer Application for our review.

If you are selected to participate, we will notify you and your account will become active. Your name and contact information will also be added to the Developer's page on the main web site.

At that time, you'll be able to use the Settings and My Profile links in the left hand menu bar to change any details about yourself and your company.

Account Settings

You can change your password at any time by using the Change Password link in the left hand menu bar. When you do, a new screen comes up looking something like:

Enter a new password and a confirmation password prior to pushing the Submit Button.

Press the Logout button to clear your sessions and protect your account when you leave the phpCart License Manager program.

Getting More Help

You can always get more help for both the phpLicense Manager program and for using the phpCart software. The first step is to go to the phpCart Forum and search for keywords related to your difficulty. If that doesn't provide an acceptable answer, create a new thread in the section of the forum that is related to your type of phpCart and in the section of the forumthat most closely resembles your area of concern.
